Peter Everitt

Peter Everitt

Director & Principal Developer

Peter has been involved in the development and maintenance of software systems for the past 30 years. He has extensive experience in Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, Visual Basic 6, C, C , Fortran, Microsoft Access, SQL Server and Reporting Services as well as in the support of Windows, Linux and Unix networks.

He worked for many years as a researcher in the Australian raw sugar industry where he also gained considerable expertise in cane transport scheduling.

 

Stewart McKinnon

Stewart is a born and bred Mackay boy and he completed his senior education at St. Patrick's College Mackay. Stewart studied his Bachelor of Applied Science degree at the Central Queensland University where he majored in Mathematics and Computing.

Following two years as an application programmer with the Department of Defence in Canberra, Stewart accepted a position at the Sugar Research Institute in Mackay. Stewart spent ten years with SRI, initially as a computer scientist and then in the role of Computer Services Manager. Stewart has extensive experience in computer and network support, programming in C, VB, VB.NET and SQL.

John started his IT career as a mature age student over 20 years ago and graduated with a Degree in Applied Science (Maths and Computing) with Distinction.

He got his first IT Job at MEB (now Ergon Energy) at the very start of the PC era. John worked at MEB for six years as a software developer and IT Support Officer, gaining valuable experience working on large projects. He Left MEB to start his own local business (Veltech Computer Services) which he operated for thirteen years. He built a successful business based principally on personal service and value for money but attributes long-term success to good quality and loyal clients, many of whom supported the business for over ten years.

In early 2008, John decided to merge his business with iScape to form a complete, one-stop shop for professional IT Services in Mackay and district.

After completing University, Neil held a brief stint as a lecturer with Central Queensland University. He then moved to Mackay in 1999 to start his professional career. A number of years and a few sugar related Analyst/Programmer positions later he joined the team at iScape. Neil has worked on a large number of projects over the years, from supporting and maintaining pre-existing applications right through to architecting and implementing new applications through the entire software development life cycle. 

Neil is a specialist in .Net development for the Windows and Windows Mobile platforms and recently acquired his Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (.Net Framework 2.0: Windows Applications) certification. Neil has also acted as a development DBA on a large number of projects and specialises in SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008 including it's new spatial functionality.

On the lighter side of life Neil is an active member of the Mackay Musical Comedy Players, and can be seen from time to time on Mackay's stages.

 

Nick Black

Nick has been in the IT industry since 1994, and has always been involved in Windows networks, even in these early days. Working in his home of the UK until 2001, Nick spent 7 years designing, installing and maintaining networks for small-medium sized businesses.

Arriving in Australia in 2001, Nick then spent just over 6 years working for one of Mackays ISPs and IT companies. During this time, he was involved in projects as varied as implementing a 1500 user wireless internet service, maintaining the networks of several major local businesses, and even had a go at running the service department for a short while.

In 2007 Nick joined iScape as a senior engineer, where he continues to support the IT needs of the local business community. Nick believes that in a regional town like Mackay, you cannot afford to specialise in just one field, and has a broad technical knowledge across all aspects of IT.

 

Stephen Clarkson

Stephen came to us from C.Q.University after 6 years as technical support officer.

Stephen started his career in Dunedin, New Zealand at Otago University in 1987.

As personal computer applications and networking overtook circuit design , Stephen an electronics engineer, moved to supporting network solutions for universities and small to medium businesses over the last 15 years. Twelve years ago Stephen had a job offer and moved to Australia to support a local IT firm. Stephen was also branch manager for Ipex here in Mackay before moving to C.Q.University.

Stephen is married to Trudy and has 2 girls who are 5 and 21 months. Stephen loves a challenge, and looks forward to being able to help you move forward in your business.

Peter has been working over the last few years for an array of local businesses, developing and honing his skills. During this time he also studied at the local Central Queensland University, earning a Bachelor of Information Technology; joining the iScape team upon the completion of these studies.

Delving into every opportunity, Peter has gained an assortment of skills to allow him to develop solutions and seek prospects for improvement on behalf of the businesses we support, independently as well as with the team.

 

Anne-Maree Tranter

Anne-Maree is currently completing a dual degree in Information Technology and Accounting through Central Queensland University. She started her career in 2001 as an IT Support Officer at a local primary school. After working in the education field for four years, an opportunity arose with a group of engineering consultants. This position allowed her to develop on her skills in both Information Technology and Accountancy. Anne-Maree commenced work at iScape Pty Ltd in early 2008.

 

Andrew Brockhurst

Andrew joined iScape in July 2007 when given the opportunity for hands-on experience to jumpstart his career in the IT industry while completing his University studies.

Andrew has now finished his Bachelor of Information Technology Degree (with Distinction) at CQU Mackay, having graduated with both the Faculty and Graduation Medals for outstanding academic achievements. He finished his senior education at Mirani State High School, initially desiring a prosperous career in Finance Management but – after a few months off study – soon realised his keen interest in many areas of Information Technology, including Software Development. He is always eager to learn more about both the software and hardware aspects of IT, and hopes to gain valuable practical skills while under the experienced leadership of the iScape team.

As a Developer, Andrew is committed to assisting the team provide professional software development and IT support services to the community.

 

Chris Vella

Chris is currently studying a Bachelor of Information Technology as an external student here in Mackay after completing his high school education at Holy Spirit College.

Having always had a fondness for electronics and technology, a career in Information Technology became an appealing option early on in his life. Further delving into IT in his adolescent years, he found that he not only had an interest in the field, but a natural aptitude and a skill in assisting others with their problems, showing this on a day-to-day basis at school helping his peers.

Chris has a keen interest in many aspects of IT specifically multimedia, software, hardware and online development. He is a willing and enthusiastic learner striving to advance in any field as often as he can and he is a valuable member of the iScape team.
